What is bouldering?

A more liberating aproach to climbing

Bouldering is a form of rock climbing where you climb free from ropes, clipping, harnesses and belayers. All you need is a pair of climbing shoes and you’re ready to go! Climbers attempt “problems” one at a time on walls no higher than 4.5 metres. A foam mattress is always available to drop down to.

The nature of bouldering allows a more varied range of problem styles and body movements than traditional sport climbing. At Adrenaline Vault we offer a large range of styles and climbs, with over 140 problems available to climb at any one time. Suitable for beginners, advanced climbers, and everyone in-between, there’s always something new and challenging to climb!
