To take part in WA's first ever Kilter competition, you need to:
Share your kilter climbs on social media and use the hashtag #kilterclassic21 (don't forget to tag us @adrenalinevaultperth)!
Round 1: 20th September - 3rd October
Round 2: 4th - 17th October
Finals: Thursday evening 21st October
Awesome prizes to be announced. This competition is run on an Honest System in that we are trusting entrants to be honest on their attempts and scores.
SET UP YOUR GRIPTONITE ACCOUNT
1. Download the Griptonite app and create an account
2. Select Adrenaline Vault as your gym
3. Scan the Griptonite tag next to the Kilter board
4. Select your difficulty level (this cannot be changed once selected)
SET UP YOUR KILTER BOARD ACCOUNT
1. Download the Kilter Board app and create an account
2. Follow the steps to create an Adrenaline Vault Kilter Board on your account
NOW LET'S GET CLIMBING!
1. Open the Kilter Classic Competition page on Griptonite.
2. From the map, select the climb you want to do.
3. Enter the name of the climb into the Kilter Board app (see list to the right)
4. Change the angle of the board to the degree corresponding to your difficulty level. This can be done by going to the control box to the left of the Kilter Board. Please read the instructions above the box. If you are under the age of 16, please ask a staff member for assistance in changing the angle.
5. Tap on the lightbulb icon and connect to the board "Kilter Board" (you will need to have bluetooth on for this).
5. Complete the climb and log your attempts in Griptonite.

How should I determine my difficulty level?
Scoring will be done through Griptonite. You will earn points for the amount of attempts it takes for you to complete the climb. The scoring system is:
Your points will be added for each round to determine the top contestants participating in the finals.
Use the below as a guide for determining your difficulty level for the competition. This is based on the types of climbs you do in our bouldering vault.
Novice: V0-V3
Intermediate: V3-V6
Advanced: V6+
