Field Day is our biggest community event of the year\, packed with outrageous challenges\, bizarre climbing games\, head-to-head battles and weird ideas brought to life on the walls.\n       \n\n        It is part competition\, part chaos and part community day\, with surprises landing across the gym from open to close. Whether you are coming to throw down\, have a laugh\, or just soak up the madness\, this is one of the wildest days on the calendar.\n       \n\n        Creative Challenges\n        Big Finals Energy\n        Ridiculous Concepts\n        Community Chaos\n      \n\n\n\nEvent Details\n\nDate: Saturday April 18\nLocation: Adrenaline Vault Belmont\nTime: 10:00am until late\n\n\nGood to Know\n\n        Field Day is primarily geared toward adults\, with many of the challenges and the overall atmosphere designed around older climbers. Kids are welcome\, but all usual gym rules\, supervision requirements and safety expectations must be followed at all times for their own safety.\n       \n \n\n\n\n      ON THE WALLS \nChallenges & Activities\nA full run sheet is still to come\, but here is a first look at the games\, comps and chaotic goodness landing at Field Day Vol. 3. \n \n\n\n🪠\nPlunger Climb\nForget holds. The only way up this route is with a pair of plungers stuck to the wall\, moving them one suction at a time while trying not to peel off. \n\n\n🪢\nUltimo Ostacolo\nA 40 metre wall-to-wall obstacle gauntlet packed with rope swings\, a military net crawl and zip line finish. Get from one end to the other without touching the ground. \n\n\n🤝\nPartner Climbs\nThese routes are built so you physically cannot finish them alone. Expect human ladders\, awkward boosts and turning your climbing partner into the foothold you desperately need. \n\n\n💪\nCampus Competition\nIn climbing\, campusing means climbing without using your feet. Qualifiers run throughout the day before a night-time finals where the strongest climbers go head-to-head for $300 cash prizes for both the male and female winners. \n\n\n⚔️\nBoard Battle\nFour climbers start on the battle board at once and the goal is simple: be the last one still hanging. Swing\, kick\, push and hold on while everyone else tries to send you flying. \n\n\n🪨\nFloating Holds\nA route built on giant volumes suspended by rope\, meaning the entire climb shifts and sways as you move. Every grab changes the balance of the climb. \n\n\n⬆️\nMantle Station\nMantling is the move climbers use to press themselves up and over a ledge\, like getting out of a swimming pool. Here you will face a series of increasingly awkward mantle challenges. \n\n\n🎯\nRotating Holds\nThese holds do not stay still. Grab one and it tips or rotates slightly\, forcing you into the next position whether you are ready or not. \n\n\n⛳\nTTTT Climb\nTyres bolted to the wall\, hanging towels for grip strength\, and turf-covered volumes that want you to slip. At the top you will find a golf putter and ball\, and sinking the putt completes the climb. \n\n\n🧱\nTable Traverse\nA custom-built table covered in holds becomes the smallest climbing wall you have ever seen. Traverse from one end to the other without dabbing the ground. \n\n\n🏁\nSlab of the Year\nSet on our 10 metre rope wall\, this slab climb features jumps\, dynamic movement and a dramatic auto-belay catch if it does not go to plan. \n\n\n⛏️\nIce Pick Climb\nInspired by ice climbing\, this route is completed using two ice tools instead of your hands. Each round features 25 new boulders\, for a total of 150 climbs across the league. But first\, you’ve gotta register. There are no fee’s to enter the bouldering league – general entry fee’s apply for non-members when coming to climb. \n\nRegister Your Team\nTo compete\, your team must be registered before you start climbing. Here’s how: \n\nGather a team of 4 climbers\nChoose your category:\n\nAll Male\nAll Female\nMixed (2 Male + 2 Female)\n\n\nNominate a team leader\nPick a team name\nRegister your team here\n\nOnly registered teams will appear in the scoring system. No rego = no score.There is no age limit — anyone can enter. \n\nHow It Works\n• Four sessions\, 100 climbs total (25 per session) \n• Sessions run across Belmont and Cockburn \n• Once a session opens\, it remains open until the final cut-off on Sunday 17 August \n• Focus is on team effort\, shared stoke\, and smart climbing \nAt the start of each session\, a QR code will be displayed on the wall. Teams that make it to the Final Session will be contacted on Monday 18th August. \nDate: Saturday 23rd August 2025\nTime: 10am.  \nAll teams to arrive no later than 10am. Climbing will commence at 10:30am.\nThe first round will be the timed climb off followed by the ultimate relay boulder. Categories will proceed in the order of\n1. ALL FEMALE\n2. ALL MALE\n3. MIXED \nTIMED CLIMB OFF\n• There are 4 boulders for each team to complete.\n• Teams will have 4 minutes in total for each team member to top out the climb before moving onto the next boulder.\n• When a team moves onto the next boulder\, another team will proceed down.\n• This rotation will continue until all teams and categories and attempted their climbs. \nULTIMATE RELAY BOULDER\n• One extremely large boulder will be on the entirety of the Cave section.\n• There will be 4 clearly marked points for each team member.\n• All members of the team to be on the wall on their section before time commences.\n• Time will commence when the first team member begins their climb. Team member A must make to it to Team Member B who must make it to Team member C etc.\n• If any team members come off the climb before the whole boulder has been completed\, then they must start over.\n• A total of 10 minutes will be provided to each team to complete the relay climb.\n• Points awarded to the fastest times to complete climb. \nThe Final Session is expected to go for 4 hours.
